I finally bit the bullet- have you?

After saying it was an unnecessary and pointless product for me for the last couple of years, I finally ordered an iPad last night. I never really had a "real" reason to want one until now so I bit the bullet.

It will be great for our trip next month- it will save us from having to take the laptop (which I would CRY if it was stolen!).

So... anyone else have one? Couldn't live without it? Think it's stupid? Share. lol.

DH and I want one, especially now that we occasionally both want to use our Kindle at the same time, but since we are saving up for a car right now buying one is not an option currently.

I voted for hummus in a pita, lol, since I forgot to make a poll option to correspond with my choice! I assume I will LOVE it since I own every other Apple product and love them all, but I don't have it in my hands yet! I'm hoping it will be delivered early next week

We have a MacBook that we both share, and since Ian is in grad school he's generally the one who is always using it. I'm sick of browsing on my iPhone and it's hard to do certain things on it... so this will be a good option for if one of us is using the laptop and the other wants to use the iPad. So I know how you feel!

Don't have one but want one. it would be great for all of us... hannah included. It's easier for her to use than a laptop is and there are a TON of great apps for kids both educational and fun. she would probably end up using it more than either brian or I lol

We don't do apple.

We do have a 10 inch tablet, a 5 inch archos, a nook (regular ereader), a netbook, three laptops, and three desktops (one is a server) So we aren't lacking in any type of computers around here, LOL I mainly use the nook and the desktop. I think if I traveled more, I might use the tablet more often, they are convenient and light weight, but then again so is the netbook for about 1/4 of the price!

We have two desktops, a laptop, and two iphones. I have a simple touch nook as I dont want backlit for reading. If I were to ever get a tablet, I dont think I would go for an ipad, would probably get a nook tablet or similar.

I voted no, but I want one. Although I think that if I were to buy a tablet I am leaning towards the Asus Transformer Prime, mainly because of the micro SD and HDMI.

Don't have one, don't want one. My roommate has an Ipad, and rarely I will play games on it, like that marble one that I like, but I really prefer using a laptop for Internet use, etc.

As a side note, I'm really going to have to look up that Southpark episode. Lol

We don't do apple here, either. I'm due for s new laptop, but other than being outdated and huge, mine still works fine. And I don't really take it anywhere with me where that would be a problem. I might want a tablet sometime in the future... But I'm not sure.
