Yes Mafia, I was bit just don't know by what. We don't have too many poisonous things here in N. Indiana either, but like you guys, we do have a few nasty variety spiders!
Thanks for you concern, and the advice on the stocking! I was trying to figure out what I was going to put it in since I'm out of cheese cloth at the moment, nylons should be perfect! Anyway, I think it's a bit better this morning, still itchy, but the welts seem to be fading so maybe an oatmeal soak with finish them off!

Start downing the vitamin C. My allergist told me to take vitamin C when I get into soy, etc...C is one of the best things for allergies. I read the other day 2 cups of green tea and 2000mg of Vitamin C will cut allergies by 40%...taken each day that is. I use ester C. Of course benedryl the old standby if you can take it. The tabs that melt have soy. Are you sure you haven't ingested something your allergic to? My lips usually, only swell if something has touched them, food, kissing dog or hubby, and they have been around something I'm allergic to. oatmeal bath...good stuff.
I was bit by a spider a few months ago. I made an epsom salts pack and kept it on the spot for a couple of days. Helped a bunch.

When I had hives I took Benedryl, a cool shower, and went to sleep. When I woke up they were gone (worst sensation of my entire life. Painful, beyond itchy, ugh.)
