Anyone have any info? We started selling these at my work and I am being offered a deal to buy the first one. I'm pretty sure I'll buy one because it seems to work nicely and it's a whole heck of a lot cheaper than our european treadmill which was something like 3,500$, meanwhile this one is 450$. My one complaint is it's in constant incline, I'd love some variation. They said, supposedly, you can level it out with blocks and it won't effect the motor or the belt but, yeah, that still makes me a bit unsure. On the plus it folds up which will work nicely for us in our small house. I am just curious if anyone has experience with them, good, bad, ugly? Thanks

They use these in Harrods in the animal spa/grooming/care center, I don't know what they call it and I've seen dogs running on them but other than that don't have too much experience.
It looks safe enough while the dogs were using them though? |

I dislike the motorized ones. However, a lot of people use them. I wonder if you could find a used people one even cheaper, though. That said, this one looks pretty safe, even with the silly sides.
![]() We use a carpet mill. Because we don't really need Cardio for the dogs, we need muscle and short bursts.

$450 is actually exactly what I paid for my (people) treadmill used - it's one of the very high quality ones that was like $2000 new or something. But there are cheaper ones (the stuff that is $500-700 new) on craigslist for $200 or so pretty often. And lots of them fold up and safety lock these days, even the cheaper ones. So yeah, I would agree, getting a people one cheaper is definitely a possibility if you decided to go that route! I just put Auggie's collar on, tie a loop in the safety release rope to shorten it up to where I need it to be, and clip the safety release to his collar. I've only done it a few times, need to get in the habit of working him (and Payton) on it more regularly...

I don't like people ones due to the shorter belt and lack of sides. We use the dog ones a bunch at work and the dogs take to them much faster.
What did you pay for the carpet mill?

We use a people treadmill. I make sure to position the dog so he/she can move without shotening strides. We just put one side of the treadmill against the wall and on the other side we secured a piece of wood. Basically, it looks (to the dog) like there are two sides. None of the dogs I run have had trouble adjusting to it.
