I posted a thread about this breed a while back. I feel terrible for these dogs.

I have read that Asian culture is very stuck on visual appeal with dogs, so small and unique is what sells. Big dogs need to be very unique. I guess this is the way they are going.

So sad.

Functional wrinkles and loose skin (like helping to deter another animal getting a hold of something vital) are one thing. THAT is just a whole 'nother thing altogether. I feel so sorry for that dog. Just the pressure it must feel from all those wrinkles piling up on its eyes. . .
Even its LEGS down to the paws! Ugh, I have to stop looking.

Too bad there isn't some sort of injection that could make the breeders of those poor dogs look just as 'unique'... Fair's fair.

The frightening thing is that there are some very horrible diseases with some of the same effects . . .
