What's the best supplement to use?

Since you're feeding a raw diet, you could just throw in some chicken necks or something else with lots of connective tissue now and again. I'm guessing this is just a preventative supplement and there isn't a medical problem?

Auggie (and Payton) are on Glyco-Flex. I compared ingredient numbers and doses and cost and found Glyco-Flex to basically be the best bang for my buck.
Auggie is on the 2, Payton is on the 1. Neither really "need" to be on it, though Auggie is at pretty high risk of developing arthritis in his wrists basically any day now (hence why the 2 instead of the 1) and I know there is some debate about joint supplements as a preventative, but I would personally rather give it than not.

I also like to give salmon oil along with a joint supplements - supposedly it helps to lubricate joints, plus it has a bunch of other health benefits too, heart health, skin and coat...

Either of these:

It's a little pricey and the bottle is pretty small so it looks like it'll only last one day... but the amount you have to give is TINY so it's pretty deceiving (I'm referring to the powder). I've only heard good things.

I'm currently using GNC Pets Ultra Mega Hip and Joint for Luce and am very happy with it. She had been getting Dasuquin before.

Mushroom and Steve get Glycoflex for preventative maintenance.

Glucosamine is glucosamine ( or at least it should be) everyone around here over the age of 5 gets just a plain old person glucosamine tablet 2x a day. Fish oil to help with inflammation is also a huge help. I'd rather spend more money on quality fish oil than spend a ton of money on other joint pills.

I also use Hylasport Canine, and LOVE it, and it is very reasonable in price also.

I use regular people stuff on my dogs, both for glucosamine and fish oil. They get 1500mg glucosamine a day split into am/pm doses. Fish oil Logan gets 4-6 a day and Gavroche gets 2-3 a day.
