If a breeder tells you that his/her dogs have a good temperament, then you must ask for the record of working titles. Temperament can only be assessed if the dog has a working title record - not a show title record

Excellent medical veterinary books are available on the American book market. Technical books are expensive and you will need to spend the time reading them. You don't have the time to read them? Then you have no time for a dog. Don't bother getting one! You have no money to buy a veterinary medical book? Don't bother getting a dog!

Don't want to buy expensive veterinary textbooks and take hours trying to basically learn to be a vet via book?

I'm surprised they've even heard of sugar or honey treatments - they're sometimes used as dressings for large wounds, believe it or not they can be antibacterial and promote healing.

But anyway... I'm sure it's hard to walk the line between too much and not enough when it comes to being involved in puppies' new lives, but... I think I'd simply consider that contract one of nature's warning signs and go elsewhere.
