We got an invite at the store. My boss is giving all of us an open invite, and to bring all the toughest questions.



I mean, I'm sure they'll have a retort for everything. I'm dying to hear them. Wonder if their excuses will rival Hills.

Ooooh, how fun! I've always wanted to ask them why they have so many different varieties of food. I mean really, what could possibly be so different between chihuahuas and toy poodles? for example.

So, apparently I'm scheduled to work, but even better - we're invited to an all-day retreat the very next week with Royal Canin. More one-on-one? Oh my.

Retreat is today at 2:30! I'm actually kind of excited - it's at this rescue ranch outside the city (note their sponsor...), we'll be getting a tour and free food:

My co-worker and I have been texting our potential questions back and forth. None of them are particularly polite.

"Why do you feel German Shepherds need to eat star-shaped kibble?"

"How does your dental formula help cats when the kibble are small enough to swallow easily without chewing?"
(Compared the Oral Care SD, equally crappy formula but the kibble size is big enough that it forces them to chew... and I'll admit that the oral care part of it DOES work, from what I've seen.)

There is a long list of things I'll write down. I'll try and record the stuff they do address, as well.

We get so many of these questions from our customers, as well. Our neighbourhood is pretty savvy about pet nutrition for the most part - they come in already knowing why corn/wheat/soy are generally bad, and that breed-specific formulas are pretty hoaxy.

I'm just passing it all on, and adding some questions for myself! I hope to be pleasantly surprised in some aspects.
