I got Bimmer from a wonderful lady who took him and his three siblings in when some idiot dumped him on her farm.
Shiva and Kharma are from Fila breeders.

I got all three of Dobermans from a rescue and that is the way I love it because they let me know everyday that they love me and thank me for saving their lives
Our other 16 are all either bred by us or bought from breeders |

Breeder. Not sure if I would ever do that again. I had a bad experience.

We got our JRT from someone that was known as a "reputable breeder" and she came home at 8 weeks covered in fleas, and with a small bag of Purina Hi-Pro dog food (and recommended to stay on this food... as they feed this to all their dogs for life) and Lucy at 8 weeks had never been outside of the large barn that she was born in. (My hubby purchased Lucy as a surprise for me... two weeks after we had to put our 15 yr. old cocker/beagle mix to sleep due to heart failure) and she has been a non-stop surprise ever since!
Our Rat Terrier we adopted from a local rescue organization "All Terrier Rescue." (My choice this time... to rescue a dog!) Holly was taken to the rescue by a "back-yard breeder" that sold her sibs to a pet shop at 6 weeks. The pet shop wouldn't take our Holly, because she was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around one of her hind legs, and still favored this leg when the other pups were sold. Her leg is just fine, and 95% normal now... she just needed time to heal... and we were so happy to have the chance to adopt her! She is such a wonderful puppy... and our Lucy's best friend! |

I got both my babies from the Humane Society...After visiting there, I will ALWAYS get my future dogs from there. It is such a sad and hopeless place for all those precious babies to have to spend their life.
If I could care for all of them, I would. They sure deserve a loving place to live.

Originally Duke was from a shelter, but I got him from his previous owner's home. They had adopted him around 16 months, and about a year ago they found out they had to move. They posted an ad on Petfinder, I saw it, called, and now he's here.
