I have two dog beds that I got for free. Both are in very nice condition, but I had to pitch the foam insert in one due to it smelling so bad, and I need to replace the polyester fill in the other due to it also smelling. So, I'd like to pick up some foam (or polyester filling) to replace what I had to throw away, and a bed isn't really a bed without cushion. LOL
Hobby Lobby has foam, but it comes in little blocks and I'd like to be able to just cut something down to size to fit what I need instead of putting multiple blocks in one bed. Should I just buy a mattress topper and cut it down to size? I was thinking something like this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/5-Zone-2-C...ndingMethod=rr or this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Beautyrest...opper/19589823 Or is there another place I can buy foam/polyester filing for cheap? I know Dr. Fosters&Smith sells refill polyester filing, but for the price of two pounds I could buy a mattress topper.

I usually go to a fabric store like Joanns.

Joanns or a mattress topper here, too. I have one bed that has two mattress toppers in it, it's the favorite bed around here lol.
Target *might* have the inserts, too. Around here they used to have a build-your-own-bed thing, and it was something like $10 for the cover, $10 for each insert. I found covers on clearance for $2.50 a couple months ago, so not sure if they still have it or not.

Thanks all!
I'm hoping with the new inserts I can convince Chloe that her dog bed is a reasonable alternative to my bed. lol

Jo Ann Fabrics, AC Moore, Michaels, etc. are where I get that kind of stuff when we are costume making, crafting, etc. Not every Walmart has a full craft section, but you may get lucky. I've found that most of the craft/fabric stores run right about the same pricing for this kind of material.
I have a buttload of this stuff from various projects. They have it in varying thicknesses, too. This may be a really good material for you, as I can tell you from experience that it seems not to smell up too bad. One of the uses was to fill up the space in the batting helmets for the smaller softball players so they could actually see the ball. With all of the sweat, dirt, etc. from everyone's head, I never noticed a foul odor or any nasty soiling.
