I dunno. I feel like I lurk a lot, but I also post a lot sometimes too. I would guess most people on this forum "know" me in the sense that they've seen me post, they know my dogs and a lot of how I feel about certain things.

I don't have a dog right now and wont be getting one any time soon but I like to read and learn and look at pictures.

This exactly. I read pretty much every thread but don't always post unless I have advice or condolences or vibes to give. I do tend to post in most of the picture threads I read though. I feel weird looking at someone's pictures without complimenting them.

I lurk on a few forums but I am a member for ease of searching and post am into so then if something does catch my eye a year later that I can't keep quiet on I can post. But for the most part I watch.

Chaz I joined, posted a few times and then spent two years lurking for the most part. Got Traveler and started posting. Ill go through waves whet I will post more and then not, but I am always reading and wouldn't consider myself a lurker

I lurk a lot. When I'm home with computer I'll post but most of the time I'm on my cell it for some reason it just doesn't like posting on this forum very much.

Well unless I have a specific question I'm joining to ask, I always lurk a bit on a new forum to get a feel for the culture of the board before I actively start posting. If it's not my cup of tea, I don't post OR lurk, I just don't hang around anymore.

Even boards I'm registered and post on, I read way more than I post. So often someone else has said what I would say, or I don't have anything to add, or don't know much about the topic, or just don't have time, that there's not much point.
