O.o HOLY COW! When I read "Drew a gun" I thought she pulled out a gun and aimed it at someone/something.........not DREW it on a paper with a pencil! o.O

Wow, just wow. I don't care where this happened, it's just another example of paranoia and over reaction that is holding us all captive in one form or another!

WOW. That's insane!

GOOD LORD. It's a child! They have imaginations! If that's the "evidence" they go by, then they need to arrest my brother-in-law for being a vigilante. When my niece was four, she drew a picture of him as Batman.

Even though all the guns here are registered, my dad has a license, the ridiculous transport permit that makes you describe your exact route to the gun range etc... I was always told to never mention them at school. His view is that all teachers and school workers are pinkos and do-gooders who WILL report you "to the appropriate authorities" whenever their "this is not PC!!" sense starts tingling. Well that isn't exactly true I didn't think I'd ever see his paranoia realized. lol!

No kidding, we were the "K-team" running around town when we were kids. the "K" stood for Kids of course and we saved our town so many times with our "guns".

I'll be happier when people aren't so paranoid

I am happy guns are pretty restricted here, but what kid hasn't run around saving the world? I debated about going into the military due to wanting to get the bad guys when I was a kid.

I don't think people need guns in our (Canadian) society, but I think this fear of guns is over the top. I wonder if that kid had drawn a cross bow or a cannon if anyone would have cared...?

That's a good point. it probably would have gone unnoticed.

Also what kid doesn't see their daddy or a parent as the one who takes care of the bad guys and monsters in their closet?

This just sounds like a case of guilty until proven innocent.
