Default Hunger Games

So there's really no point to this other than to say I LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES! I finished it in less than 24 hours and I really want to read Catching Fire now.

And for the record I didn't think I was going to like it at all but I love it so for those who haven't read it, READ IT! With the Twilight books I was the one who read the 1st 3 books before they made the 1st movie (or at least before I found out about it) and I was telling everyone to read it. With The Hunger Games everyone kept trying to talk me into reading them until I finally broke down lol!

The books are actually very good Unlike the twilight saga the main character is strong, capable and selfless...and is a solid strong role model. It's an amazing story (that, ya involves love) but there story itself is so much bigger and touches on so many other topics/issues.

As somebody said in the last thread, it would've been great if the book wasn't YA rated because some things obviously were censored/changed so young teens could read it, which sucks because you do want to know MORE and get more into it.

but overall I think they are well written exciting books and am excited to see the movie!!

I may have to read these. A lot of YA series really annoy me (eg Twilight) but I will give this a try.

There is one author who I LOVE her YA stuff (well I love her adult stuff too and her YA is just as good..really deep characters you relate to) - Kelley Armstrong

Yeah, I didn't get that AT ALL. Especially in the second and third books.

I will agree she's a better main character than in Twilight. Sadly, that's not saying much.

I need to read it! I went to the bookshop the other day and was going to get it but the size of the writing put me off,I reckon I could read it in under a day!I think I'll order them cheap of Amazon.
I got this book instead : Wither:Chemical Garden Trilogy...READ IT NOW...ALL OF YOU!
It's amazing and it's YA too, which sucks a bit but it is GOOD.

I love love love the Hunger Games!

I'm gonna be one of those people who watch it the day it comes out in theaters, the movie trailor gives me goosebumps. However, I'm not too fond of Katniss. It's probably because I don't like most girl characters. In the first book, Thresh is my favorite, or Rue.

This. I kind of liked her in the first book but the second and third she started annoying me. MAKE UP YOUR MIND GIRL. Lol. I hate that having a love triangle happens in most YA (ok and a lot of adult category) books. I'm actually stalled in the middle of the third book - I'm just not as into it as I was the first two. /shrug
