not sure if your looking for a little laid back, but how about the new england area?
I am in CT,,we have two BIG casinos that are very close to Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, also close to RI's William Rogers Zoo..spend a few days then head north up to MA, VT, NH,,in MA there is the Boston Aquarium, and Boston Market, (huge place to buy all kinds of neat things). just a suggestion

I think Colorado Springs makes a nice laid back vacation. I love their zoo. They also have Cave of the Winds, the Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Pikes Peak, and it's fairly close to the Royal Gorge, and you can go river rafting, which I have never gotten to do, but would love to. And something different from a beach vacation and it doesn't have to be really expensive. There is also a wolf sanctuary about an hour away from the springs. I haven't been there but would love to go. They have a photography package where you can take pictures, and I would love to do that.
I'm not much help, because that's really the only place I've been to because I have family close by. I would love to go to North Carolina if I had the money to travel that far. |
