And out of those people, how many would go as far as to say they have a diagnosable "syndrome" or "disorder" that impacts on their day to day life.
I'm just curious as there seem to be a lot of people claiming to have anxiety problems on here. *disclaimer - I am not suggesting people don't have genuine problems, just curious as it seems every other person has some issues!! I get bad anxiety when I am stressed, but certainly wouldn't go as far as to say it impacts on my day to day living. I would say my job is affecting my day to day living, but I wouldn't put that down to a disorder, just extreme stress. It will pass.... when I get a new job ![]() Are there abnormally high levels of people with anxiety on Chaz? Are people with anxiety more inclined to own dogs AND use the internet???

I often wondered the same thing
![]() I don't have any kind of general day to day anxiety. my biggest anxiety is flying and that's easily avoided so it doesnt' really affect my life much if at all. but I wouldn't say that's anything diagnose-able lol. just a general fear. I do wonder though if the doc would give something like a two week supply of anti anxiety meds if I ever did have to fly. I need more than just the day of the flight because I tend to have bad nightmares about flying if I know there is a flight coming up in my future lol and I also wonder if it's a body thing or what. I used to love to fly but it was my first flight after having Hannah that I developed this fear. BUT did I develop the fear because something in my body chemistry changed or if it's just because I had an extra person to worry about or what lol

I think all people probably experience anxiety about specific things. I do get anxious in a variety of settings and have had a panic attack before (on a plane. sucked), but I don't consider myself all that unusual and it's not a diagnosable condition. Rescue Remedy is my friend!

None here. I certainly have worries from time to time, just like everyone else in the world, but nothing even close to life-affecting anxiety.

I have general anxiety disorder...mine is well controlled by taking meds and having learned my triggers and how to cope with certain things differently. There have been periods when I can get of meds and function fine, but if and when I derail it can make me seem pretty odd
![]() Most people experience anxiety attacks, panic attacks, or bouts of depression at some point in their lives even if they do not have a disorder.

I've had panic attacks before, more often when I was in high school. I think it's been about four years or so since I've had one. A doctor (not a gastroenterologist nor a psychologist) once told me my stomach problems are "an anxiety disorder." I disagree with that one.
I am under a lot of stress and it is affecting me physically, but I wouldn't call that an anxiety disorder.

I have situational anxiety I guess but I definitely would not say its an actual disorder nor does it impact my daily life. Now, my adrenal fatigue sometimes does, and does cause me to have more anxiety and I do have actual panic attacks here and there (those run in my family)

I have 3 diagnosed anxiety disorders as well and it does affect my day to day life and activities to the point that my medical team 4yrs ago deemed me permantently disabled.
