error when trying to burn cd... please help :)

I'm trying to burn some photos to a cd on my laptop. I've done it before and had no issues. All of a sudden, it won't let me do it. It gives me an error box that says:

there was a problem burning the disc

the disc wasn't burned successfully. make sure that you have the latest firmware for your cd or dvd vurner installed, and then try again


I went to my device manager folder and found my cd/dvd player and tried to update the drivers for it, but it says i already have the latest drivers. Anyone know what else I can do to fix this??
