I voted packrat but I'm not nearly as bad as my neighbor (who keeps EVERYTHING, including old magazines/catalogs). We do have a lot of stuff, but most of it is useful stuff - really! Our tool collection would probably put Sears to shame but we have a lot of projects, from building a garden shed to putting in a decorative concrete walkway around the house, to stone steps going up to the gardens, to finishing the basement...
I'm a book collector, too... at last count I had over 300 horse books and I'm rapidly catching up with dog books. That doesn't include the numerous reference books, favorite series, favorite authors and random novels, history books (Sis has always been an avid student of the Civil War), biographies, autobiographies, etc. that are all over the house. I collect dog figurines (anything except resin or plastic) - I started with a china collie my great grandmother gave me over 40 years ago and the curio cabinet is getting pretty darned full. Also have cast iron dogs around the house and an almost life-size chalk spaniel sitting beside my chair. Lastly, I've been collecting Vaseline glass (it has uranium in it and glows in sunlight or black light) but that's hard to find, so I don't have many pieces.

For the most part, no.
The things I love.. I buy few and I buy quality not quantity. (for example, I won't go out shopping and buy 10 pairs of cheap jeans just to have them. I will take forever finding the PERFECT classic pair that will last and get that instead) I am not very sentimental stuff wise either. Most of everything (picture wise) is on my computer. which I do love lol but I don't have many cherished knick knacks. Oh yea but I collect books like a hoarder lol the very idea of buying an adventure in a story brings out the kid in me. I want to take them all home! ![]() Oh and dresses.. I have a classic little black dress and a few other staples but other than that, I never wear the same dress more than a few times really.. so they tend to just..gather but I do donate fairly often

I used to have a lot of clothes, but I don't anymore. I really don't have much stuff. I have a lot of old books in boxes but lately most books I read are borrowed, or I loan out a book once I'm done with it.
I have a few things that mean a lot to me, but most of those are small and easy to keep, like cards and letters.

I collect dragons, but that's pretty much the extent of it.

I am a packrat on my way to a moderate version maybe? I have cleared out a lot in the past couple weeks, and intend on clearing out more. I don't think I could ever be a minimalist, I have quite a collection of craft supplies I could never give up.

I got rid of a crapload of stuff when we left the duplex. I've acquired a few things, here and there, but not even really enough to fill up a large room, except for a few pieces of furniture.

Depends on what it is. LOL
When it comes to books, dog stuff, and kitchen gadgets. In that order, although the books and dog stuff are pretty close. Possibly garden stuff as well but thats more plants than gadgets. |

I am sort of a packrat. I despise clutter, but I have a problem with it because when I try to organize I agonize about whether or not to throw something away, donate it, or keep it.
I tend to have things like a crap-load of pokemon cards, video games, movies (my classic movie collection is huge), books (way more than all my shelves can hold, hello clutter!), etc. I also have a lot of paper, sketchbooks, and notebooks. I have a lot of National Geographic magazines, including a lot of ones that are as old as my mother I just can't throw away. I worship Lucille Ball (and named my dog after her), so I have a bunch of books about her, her autobiography, some of the aforementioned movies, her shows on DVD, an various memorabilia, especially of I Love Lucy. I also have similar things about Elizabeth Taylor, and I collect books about classic Hollywood stars in general. Okay, I sound like an obsessed hoarder so I'm going to stop now.

I am in the process of downsizing. I'm getting rid of any book I own that can be picked up on a Kindle. I am throwing out/donating old clothes. The movie collection is gone (thanks half priced books) Picking up more useful items like well made rakes, forks and shovels for the upcoming growing season. Growing up and moving on.
I like to think I'm not much of a pack rat but I do have those moments where I look around and wonder... Where did all this **** come from? Then I commit to getting rid of a box or two of it by the weekend.

A lot of my stuff is books, fabric, yarn, and other random crafting stuff. And Matt hates it because I tend to scatter it ALL through the house...lol. I'm trying to get better about it but it's not going so well.
I used to keep everything that anyone ever gave to me. I've mostly gotten over that and am actually working on de-cluttering the entire house and getting rid of stuff that we don't use. It's a work in progress.
