Payton and Auggie are so cute. I love to see them live in action! Those paw pods are intriguing. Might look into those!

Aeri - freeshaping "challenge" (trying to clean up my shaping technique as I've slipped into a lot of luring with her since she works differently than any of the others), goal is two paws on the flower pot.

Session 1: http://youtu.be/oudlyjk8r-E

Session 2: http://youtu.be/HcK9wo84UWo

Session 3: http://youtu.be/pHlytLOcgsY

All unedited, no training between sessions.

Snipe - shaping handstand skills, goal is a full handstand but for these videos I was working on just two rear feet targeting the platform.

Session 2: http://youtu.be/G4QdcBVTqfo

Session 3: http://youtu.be/wEinG-Hc0o8

Again, unedited and no training in between.
I saw some of these on FB, I'm going to go through in order though and watch.

I also have been bad with doing a lot of luring and need to get better at freeshaping.

The ones I own are actually made for people, but they are the same specs as the FitPaws stuff - only I got them cheaper off Amazon, haha. I bought them for body awareness stuff, to help Payton learn to stack, and just to give Auggie something else to do 'cause why not?
I'm actually kind of surprised that Auggie is having a harder time with it than Payton. But Payton also caught on to the perch faster than Auggie. I think Auggie has little impulse control, not much on stimulus control, and... well, I thought I had him better when it came to his brain simply falling out around treats but... yeah. No. Or at least not right now when we are cooped up inside so much. This is why I deliver my treats to Auggie differently than to Payton too - Auggie is trying to bite my fingers off. sigh.

It's interesting to watch both dogs learn. I guess I just figured Auggie would learn better since he's six but Payton is surprising me. However they are both similar in that sometimes they'll do the EXACT thing I'm asking for three or four times in a row, get clicked and rewarded for it, and then they start trying different things altogether LOL. I don't get it. Weird dogs.

I'm also a past lure-er and I'm trying to quit, LOL. The video I linked earlier in the thread shows the person luring but I'm trying not to do that. I actually tried it last session, just to see if I could do it and then fade the lure really quickly, but Payton was like "uhhh what are you doing??" Besides teaching the sit and down when he first came home, I haven't lured anything. He seriously had no clue how to deal with it hahaha. It was kind of funny.

Here is the Frodo working on our retrieve to hand

He still wants to try and give me his paw a lot (usually he has pretty good stimulus control, but whatever, it's gradually fading) though he is definitely understanding now that he must put the ball in his mouth and pick it up, rolling it across the floor is not acceptable!

I also think he has lost weight since going back on full raw.

LOL I just did another session with Snipe to try and get rid of the inadvertant food lure - it was HILARIOUS. Video uploading now...

Mu does that too!! I'm glad she's not the only one. I really want some of those pod things now.....dang it. Not luring is HARD. I had to make myself quit because Mu was getting so locked into my physical cues. On the plus side, the free shaped behaviors we have now are really solid compared to her lured ones.

Ok new vids for my fellow training nerds:

Aeri's 4th session. Hit a plateau which seems fairly common for her. Still working through how I want to overcome it in our next session.
http://youtu.be/L_XhjhfA-s8

Kestrel's second session with targeting both of his front feet on an object, first time with a flower pot. Really shows the difference between he and Aeri and clarifies why I find how Aeri learns so different from my usual.
http://youtu.be/qQdESX9vE4c

And Snipe. Doing her Snipe thing.

Beanie, so the ones for humans work fine? I want to get some of those balance balls and things because I can get them for humans through my work whole sale but wasn't sure if the ones for dogs were a ton thicker.

Also, they are doing great! I love Payton soo much!

PW, Frodo is so cute. And Travelers got that default foot target too. But he has to flex his nails when he gets frustrated it isn't working. Want to kill him

Here is where we are now! I'm not moving ahead at all with the hand stand until I build up more muscle memory.

So I'm working on him offering his back leg(s) up away from any wall or surface. Then working on going up the board and holding it. Hoping to get that cleaner soon, I want a faster both feet on it. And working on going backwards up the stairs too.

Parts of Handstand: Back Leg, Stairs, Board

I sooo need something that isn't my webcam to record though.
