1950's Vizsla (http://showmevizsla.homestead.com/)

This is a "standard" for the Vizsla that was published in 1954, has pictures lol

The Vizsla breeder I've been in contact with, her parents (and her) first Vizsla "Tina Our Pride". Born in 1957.

When I get home from training, I'll scan some old Doberman photos.

This one really struck me as I see show type Bostons fairly regularly. This dog (1910) has a short muzzle but nothing like what we see today

I like the old Setters
Irish Setter(1890)

English Setter (1901)

1895 Flat-Coat looks a lot like today's. And I love the name.

This dog is from a prominent kennel in her day (1905)

Another (1915) which coincides with the first Golden Retriever in the collection. Fittingly, I believe this is also the last FCR picture...

Any did anyone else see this one? lol!

Hayley
i'm pretty sure the second pic is a bullmastiff from that period. the pug face on bullmastiffs didn't become common until after WWII.

I am drooling over this Lab. What a gorgeous dog. He's from 1932.

A friend of mine collects old pics like these. A lot of hers are really cool in that they're family portraits and things. Some really neat mixed breeds and all sorts of strange people in the pictures too, lol.

I tried to get this one to load for me, but it wouldn't! Thanks for posting I also love this look - can't find very many like this these days, unfortunately.

Probably my all time favorite, early 1900s. This dog looks like it could be from Quinn's breeder. Beautiful!

And the picture that started it all! 1949 Robert and "Teddy". So Quinn-like

We've actually got a couple that come in for boarding that are very close-looking to this dog. That is my ideal lab, as well.

Loving all these photos. I wish I had a bunch of old Border Collie photos so I could frame them around my house.
