Read most of it and it is extremely sad. So many days old to months old children being killed because the parents arent thinking at all. It should not be so easy to have children or dogs.....

That was a very interesting read. The same pattern appeared over and over again, young kids left unsupervised with yard dogs. It was also interesting to note how often the media called the involved dogs pit bulls when they ended up being either an unidentifiable mix or a different breed entirely...

The thing that annoys me is a case that involved a Husky that had previously killed a guinea pig and a cat. The report implies (IMO) that a dog who kills animals is dangerous, which isn't true. The fatality was a two-week old infant, and a reasonable conclusion one could draw was that this husky was highly prey-driven, and saw the infant as prey.

However, a cat killer does not equal a child killer. But, perhaps I'm misreading their intent.

DA and animal killing does not equal human aggressive, but its really hard to call a newborn a "human" through an animals eyes. Huskies show up on these every year for just that, killing infants. If you have a high prey drive animal, especially primitive and known to kill cats, I think it is a big risk to infants.
