Went to this guy's house to buy some hens. Got there, waited 10 minutes and he came out and said it was raining too hard to go out and he wanted me to come back later.
a) that's rude b) it's just RAIN. You're a farmer and you live in Vancouver, what is wrong with you? He had my number. I called beforehand to reaffirm our meeting time, no reply, I figured he was outside. WTF?

We went to the Mall of America at 8am--it's my nephew's birthday today, so every year we go there, do some last minute shopping, and then go on the rides at Nickelodeon Universe. It's 2pm and we just got home!
In a couple hours we're going to my aunt's house for dinner and games. That's been a Christmas Eve tradition ever since I can remember. And then I get to go to work for a couple hours! Woohoo!

Spending the day relaxing at my in-laws. We have Christmas Eve service at 7:30 tonight, and the DH's grandparents do an open house for all the church and the extended family that's in town.

I wouldn't give that guy my business. Go to another farm even if you have to buy turtle doves. ![]() (that was incredibly rude. What a way to run a business)

It's now 10.35am Christmas morning here.
Yesterday I worked until 2.30pm and then came home and collected presents for one grandma and spent the afternoon at her house. She has so many stories of past Christmases so it was really nice to chill out whilst she chatted. I then came home and put on the roast pork. We usually have cold meats and salads for Christmas lunch (I was lazy and bought already cooked chicken and a ham), so I cooked the pork and made potato salad and a green mixed salad. Is it bad that I sampled everything multiple times... you know, just to make sure it was up to standard? I feel asleep watching TV with the dogs at about 9.30pm. I'm having my other grandmother over for Christmas lunch a bit later today. My parents and brothers are at my sisters about five hours away, so it'll be a very quiet day. But I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with grandma. |
