Actually, too many people in general. With the baby coming I'm starting to feel a bit open to the world. Back in the day I would have just un-friended people (like I did to a whole group of high-school people I haven't seen in 12 years and barely talked to in the first place), but I don't think that's the right thing to do with people I know/talk to/like. I want to keep contact with people, but am starting to eel totally overwhelmed with how many people are on my facebook.
Can anyone help me out with making lists, because it's seriously confusing me. Can a person be added to multiple lists? So that for example, Matt can be added to all my lists and has access to everything I post, but my great-aunt, is only added to things that extended family gets. I'd like Chazzers to be included in posts about a variety of things (like some of the baby posts that would also be posted to friends/family), and not limited to just Sierra related things. Does that make sense? I hope someone can help me figure this out! I think the hardest part will be trying to classify what kind of "friends" are going to get put on what lists. My brain hurts and just makes me want to avoid facebook period.

You know what I did?
One facebook for family (Stuff that's need to know only, and pictures) One for friends (Where I say things that will p!ss people off, tell people what going on, on a consistent basis, and be myself.) It seems like it would be complicated, but really, its simpler. I like it that way. That way I don't have to make a bunch of lists and remember to make it so only certain people can see certain statuses (forgot one too many times and got reamed by various family members for dropping FBombs... I got really sick of it.) I like having two facebooks, I log into the family one about once a month if that, and the friend one I have up almost constantly.

Hmm... I'd have to switch a whole group of people over to a second facebook though, which sounds like more work. And they'd know they'd been sectioned off to another account... and for example my parents: I'd still be okay with them seeing Sierra posts, or a bunch of my posts with friends, etc.
I'm really not happy with FB

You have to add group lists, I can't remember how to do it though
![]() Google can tell you, and then you just go through your friends list and check who you want in what group. Like I have a whole group of people that I can't really unfriend for one reason or another, but I don't want them to see stuff I post, and they're automatically excluded unless I choose to include them. |

I'd drop Facebook before having two.
I have under 90 people on mine. If I don't want someone to see it it's not posted and they are not friended. It is supposed to be for your enjoyment after all ![]() Make sure family is on the same list so they don't compare. Been through that family drama lol!

I think I'm just going through a hormonal type phase, it isn't as bad as I feel like it is. So I don't think dropping FB entirely is necessary, I'll probably not care this much about it in a bit of time, but it would still be nice to limit who sees what.
Off to google when I have time this weekend to try and figure it out. Then to actually tackle the task of organizing it all. *sigh*

ARGH I just wrote a long post, and then it got deleted.
Anyway, yes, somebody can be on multiple lists. Essentially you make the lists, and then you can click each of them to add people to it. You want to stay away from the "smart lists" though -- those are the ones with the lightning bolt next to it, and they are automatically updated. Not sure what else you need info on.. if you have something specific you need help with?
