So Teagan is 100% on raw.

I have noticed though that once in a while and its not everytime. She does not fully digest the bone and usually in the morning will end up hacking up a piece up undigested bone about the size of a dime, but other than that her stomach is empty. So im thinking she is hacking it up because her body won't digest it.

Now have any of you guys delt with this issue before?

Wilson did this a few times when he was first transitioning. Hasn't done in it awhile though!

I'm not sure about the bone, I doubt it's an inability to digest, but often if you're not feeding frequently enough for certain dogs their stomachs get queezy. Just like in humans, some people have to eat smaller meals more often than others. Backup, my male, *must* eat before bed or he will throw up in the morning. He can miss morning meals but can't miss at very least a small meal at night.

Teagan is fed on a pretty consistant schedual, but maybe I should try and split her meals up in three meals instead of two.

Right now she gets fed in the later morning like 11Am and at night around 7-8is PM

I'd just do a pre bedtime snack.

Oh or I could try and just feed her bone in meal in the morning and feed just meat in the evening and see if that would help.

I think it is not good idea to feed your dog small fragmented bones. Fragments can become lodged in the digestive tract. Dogs in the wild who eat bones have the benefit of consuming hair and hide too, which have been found to pad the bone fragments and aid in their passing.

Logan's on kibble currently, but he does vomit up a bit of bile if he goes too long without food. I generally feed at noon and midnight and that's fine, but if he goes 16ish+ hours without food he vomits.

I did some experimenting and it is only when I give her the chicken backs that she throws up. Like she did this morning and I have been giving her the backs the past few days.

I had this happen with Riley and turkey necks. I just stopped them for a while and increased the boneless meats. He can now eat them again, just not too many in a row/week. Teagan might just be ready for less bone and more meat.
