Default EVO has arrived...

I just picked up my first bag of Innova EVO. Ilsa's runt he gamut of Natura foods... she ate Innova (green bag) from 6-18 months old, ate California Natural Lamb Meal and Rice from 18-32 months old, and now we're trying EVO.

The food looks awesome, ingredient/analysis wise... very neat and completely different from every other premium food out there. The kibbles themselves are TINY - even smaller than my cat's food, and very squared off. The food "feels" nice - I usually stick my hand in a brand of food and really feel it. This food feels a bit moister than the CA Natural, but not as greasy.

She'll be having her first EVO meal tonight. She won't even get a cup - more like 3/4 cup. I've found that I can switch around the Natura foods without mixing - Ilsa tolerates it... we'll see how the next month or two work out!

Here's a photo of it:

Morado Dobermans... and Talla the Mexidog too! (group photo pending)

Hmm, I was considering getting a bag of that after the boys finish off their green bag...

My only deal with the EVO is that you have to feed so little of it.. Dakota is getting 3/4 cup of Innova (green bag) a day, on a 'diet' per vet's orders, and he seems like he's starving.. I add bulk to the diet with green beans and every once in a while some brown rice (only when I eat it) but I can imagine that I would only be feeding about 1/4 cup of EVO per day to Dakota, that's just soooo little food IMO.. I don't mind mixing it with veggie fillers, I'm just concerned that all the veggies can't be too good. And he goes nutso if he's hungry. It drives me crazy.

I'm still going to get a bag for Ripley. Who knows, that might put some weight on him.
