Recently I had to put my heart dog to sleep. His kidneys were failing and he had stopped eating, drinking and could hardly walk. The vet said we could try more fluids, medications, etc., but at what cost to him? He was not the dog I knew and loved, he was not living, he was merely alive.

I wish you comfort at this time.
