You guys brought up some excellent points in the agility thread I made recently. So I got thinking about other things I could do with Bandit that would be easier on him and I thought freestyle could be fun. Anyone do it? Any tips on getting started? I like the sounds of it because I can just do it at home and create a better bond with him without worrying about possibly causing him to go lame.

Does he know any tricks currently? I'd start by teaching as many silly tricks as possible within his comfort limits....sit pretty, shake either paw, lift either paw, weave between your legs, jump over your legs at a low height, spin around you to either direction, back up, take a bow, play dead, etc. The options are endless and tricks are fun to teach!
