Oooooh, if that little black girl was still available I was going to be seriously tempted see if the boyfriend wanted her. He wants a puppy but doesn't have the time or money and I want a puppy but can't have it at the house and between the both of us we would have the time and the funds...and I need to stop thinking down that road.

Dang. He wants a female, preferably a medium sized black mutt dog. Athletic, even tempered, friendly, submissive. If anyone sees one of those floating around a shelter or rescue...

That describes pretty much every other dog at my shelter. Most of them are puppies, too

It seems like every time I look that is what we don't have. LOL I did find one at animal control that seems like a doll...but in all honesty, I'm not sure if now is the best time for a dog. We could probably make it work, but it would have to be the right dog for the situation. So unless one falls in our lap, I don't think we're going to actively search one out. Not now, at least. Maybe once the semester gets rolling and we get used to our new schedules.
