Default Need input on this Ibizan linework

I don't want to continue until I feel the linework looks pretty good. I'm going for more cartoony than realistic, but I do want to make sure that for the most part the conformation is about right for an Ibizan Hound. I exaggerated a few things... like how thin the muzzle is and I tried to make the ears really long purposely because I love the crazy Ibizan bat earred look.

As for the rest of it though... I want to make sure it looks fairly Ibizanish. The legs are driving me nuts and I HATE drawing them so please tell me what I can do to make them look better.

Once I get the outline done I'll ink it in and start adding color once I can get color pens

It looks good! As far as the legs go, I think the front ones are good. As for the back legs, I think the first leg segment (pelvis to knee) is good, the second leg segment (from knee to hock) is too short and the third leg segment (hock to ground) is too long. Actually, it seems that's mostly a problem with the back leg in the foreground. The other one has a more more proportional hock-ground joint. Also, the hind leg in the foreground should be a tad longer (it is shorter than the leg behind it which messes up distance perception). And a minor thing I see is the croup should be a tad more sloping.

Sweet. thank you so much. I knew there was something really off about the back legs and I was getting frustrated. It really helps to have another eye to look it over

Ear point direction, shoulder muscles and toe bones and back legs are the only things that stand out to me. beautiful dog. Wish you could see the toes better in the photo. I once had to go on line and find a zillion golden photos before I could finally find a pose that had the feet where I could see it like the photo I was suppose to do.

I always think "crooked as a dog's hind leg". It helps to think of them walking on their toes, the lock being our heel, and the hip being their knee. If that makes any sense, it does in my head. Measure out your negative space and what lines up with what to get the right placement.

lining up example...the jaw line lines up with the outside of the ear at the base. Edge of the mouth lines up with the corner of the eye.

I am glad to see your dating your work. It is so much fun to go back and see the progress you have made..it's all about practice.
