Ever see an ad for a mixed breed dog...

...that sounds so weird that you want go take a look? We saw an ad the other day: "Free to good homes only. Great Dane/bluetick coonhound mix puppies."

I swear I wanted one of those puppies just to see what they'd look like as adults. I'm imagining a great dane with bluetick markings and ears down to its knees.

Anybody else experience this?

YES, all the time, especially on craigslist. It's gotten so bad that I won't even look at the title of the post unless I know there's a picture. And sometimes I go to craigslist just to see some crazy mixes.

Some mixes are definitely intriguing but quite a few turn out to be oddball guesses.

Shar Pei X Siberian Husky.

Saw an adult, and it looked odd, but not too horrendous!

I'm seriously in love with the GSD X Chow Chow mix down the street. That is one funny lookin' dog!

I think my weirdest looking cross award went to an old english x basset hound mix. Looked not unlike a hedge where you couldn't tell which way was coming or going.

That would be pretty slick too. I forget that other places CAN use dogs on puma.

I have seen quite a few Pei mixes and liked all of them
