Cuts after visit to groomer

My groomer put my dog in the hospital after cutting both of her legs. The groomer seems to think that this is something that is common. What do you think?

It's not that I don't believe you it's that there is always an inherent risk associated with grooming dogs and I can't imagine what a groomer could do that would warrant an overnight unless you are 100% uncomfortable doing basic first aid.

I have seen some stuff over the years too among the four groom shops I've worked at.
