Her ear got clipped

Well Reese has had crazy ear hair so I was reading up on clipping the ears and found that dogs can get mites if there ear hair grows too long so I decide to clip it today. I did one and I'm not sure what I did wrong because it looks like it's all different lengths!

When the one ear folds down it looks crazy! Should I just let it grow out or can it be fixed?

Erm. It's sort of hard to tell exactly why it looks funny in the pictures, but I doubt there's anything you could do, except do the same to the other and have them both look funny It grows back fast.

BUT...is Reese a border collie? I've never seen anyone clip a border collie's ear hair unless the dog is getting a haircut. Keeping the ears clean should do the trick. Usually I remove ear-hair from dogs like terriers and poodles and haired (vs fur-ed) dogs. You could even probably use scissors next time if you want to cut the hair shorter and just take out what's covered when the ear is folded.

Dogs get ear mites, by being in close contact with something else with ear mites.. Dog to dog can happen, but it's often outdoor car picks them up, transfers them to your dog.

It's easier to see in your pets ear with shortened ear hair, but it won't stop ear mites if they are around. I shave the inside of the cocker ears to meet the grooming standard for the breed. Smudge came with ear mites. Cider got them, it was a pain to treat, the shorter ear hair didn't stop the transfer.
