SB 1637 Animals Identification Scan
Illinois General Assembly - Bill Status for SB1637 We are writing with a very important issue with which we need your help! Please call the Senate Ag Committee and ask that they VOTE YES and SUPPORT THIS BILL! -Requiring animal control to scan or check for other identification a second time prior to euthanasia, adoption or transfer, would increase the chances of an animal being returned to it's owner. -By requiring Animal Control to contact primary, secondary and or original implanter of chip, would allow for a greater chance of an animal being reunited with it's owner or person/shelter wishing to take responsibility for the animal.
