Re-homing...

Sigh... I have to re-home my dogs. Charlie is the Siberian husky, he'll be 3
very soon. Melody is the Alaskan Klee Kai, she just turned 2 not too long a
go. Both are neutered/spayed. I'm in Texas.

Melody is the one on top of the sofa, and Charlie is the one on the floor.

I'm very sorry, but I am not going to discuss my reason of rehoming due to
the fact that it's very personal and complex.

My apologies, I should've included that. I'm not very good at describing, if
you have any other questions about them, please feel free to ask.

Charlie is a typical husky, but not as bright as most huskies. He's friendly
with people and dogs alike. He has lived with a cat with no problem before
we adopted him. Prefer a home with dog(s) his size (~50pounds) or bigger. A
good amount of physical exercise is required for him, just like most huskies.

Melody on the other hand is very bright, quick learner. First and foremost,
you should know she can be quite the bitch at times. Klee Kai's get very
attached to their family and are reserved with strangers. Which is going to
require a lot of patience and some time before she accepts her new family.
She does better with dogs of the opposite sex. She has a lot of energy,
won't do well with a lazy dog.

I wish I could take Melody. I've always wanted an Alaskan Klee Kai ever since I first met one and did some research. I can't take her, though and both of my dogs are female anyway. I'm sorry about having to rehome them.

Ah, the reason I was asking is it going to be a permanent issue. If not even if it is somewhat long, someone might be able to take them for a while.

Judging by your description, I think charlie will be the easiest dog to find a spot for. He seems he would adapt easier to a new family and get along with everyone (other pets and families alike) plus, he is a more popular breed so more people seem to know about them/want them.

I will spread the word! I'm sure there is an active family somewhere who is looking for a young friendly cute husky to add to the family!

- Good on leash?

- Favorite things to do..

- Commands they know?

- Things they like/dislike?

The more information we know, the easier it is, because people can get a sense of "knowing" the dogs by reading about them
