I hate Rick Santorum. If this was designed to actually cut down on mills and stupid BYB's, then it'd be great. This sounds like it kills the people who only breed one or two litters every couple of years for their own purposes.

Rick Santorum, friend of left-wing animal rights advocates and enemy of hunters? Freaky. Reading between the spittle-stained lines of various websites, the bill seems to put the selling and buying of dogs under federal control, and the language is stilted enough that small breeders who were once exempt from being treated like commercial operations, would be lumped in with them. The AKC and HSUS are in favor, and a lot of hunting and dog groups are against it - often the same groups that usually hate the AKC and HSUS, and I can't help thinking that this is fueling some of the furious opposition.
