Chaser knows a lot of words
BBC News - Chaser the border collie ***039;knows more than 1,000 words***039;
We were just talking about this on the air, one of my co-workers read about this. I'm not surprised by this really because I think if you had a way to count individual words they comprehend, you'd find that most of our dogs understand way more than 1000 words - but still cool that they counted so many individual objects.

I think it would surprise the *scientists* if they really understood just how much of our language -- spoken and inferred -- our dogs DO comprehend, fully. Even when their reaction is more WTF? (Which is probably a logical reaction much of the time, lmao)
