What is the worst dog food you've ever fed to your dog(s)?

So... what is the worst dog food you've ever fed to your dog?

When we brought our first dog home, we bought a bag of Eukanuba. Soon after (before the bag was gone), I learned that Eukanuba isn't a high quality food, so I switched to Nutro Natural Choice. After a couple of small bags, I learned about Innova and bought that. And that's when I really started researching about pet foods.

We fed Alex (our Newf/GSD cross) Proplan. Makes me sad as he might have lived longer if we had known better.

Rosey was raised on Pedigree, and is changing to PC.

Worst food for her? Innova Evo. I almost lost her on that.

Eukanuba when Maddie was a puppy, previous to joining Chaz.

And a trial of Rx Science DIEt -- I was desperite then, though.

Lilly, our childhood dalmatian, was raised on Proplan and I think the same thing. She died at 10 from renal failure, and I always wonder if she would've lived longer had she been on a high quality food or raw.

Evo isn't a bad food, your dog just couldn't tolerate it. The whippets can't handle some good foods (can't keep weight on) doesn't make them crap though

My chis did horrible on Innova (diarrhea, gas, vomiting)... we switched to Wellness after that, and they did great.

Innova was still a really good food... it just didn't work out well for my chis.

Funny wellness is one the whippets don't do Zo couldn't keep weight on with Wellness either. Just goes to show..

I've used the green Purina bag. And once or twice, Pedigree.
I had a Springer live to 13 on just whatever food we could feed- lived in an island in Alaska where the only dog food was found in grocery stores!
I'm always amazed that some dogs do great on some of the grocery store brands of foods or Purina and the like.
We feed all Kirkland Signature now except allergy dogs who get Natural Balance.

I always wonder the same thing about Nikki, too. She was on a lot of different things, but Bil Jac for a long time. I always wish I would've known better, maybe she would've been healthier, and lived longer
