Default She seems so tiny.

I was reading on the aussie board about puppy growth rates and comparatively Cara seems so tiny.

Cara will be ten weeks on Wednesday and is almost exactly ten pounds, and I'm sitting here reading about ten to eleven week old puppies being 16 - 17 lbs.

Is she really that tiny?

Maybe she's a slow grower and will spurt up in a few weeks.

Were her parents the average size? If they are, I wouldn't worry about it.

Aussies are really a medium breed so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Some dogs just start out rather tiny and end up normal sized and then again, female Aussies can be pretty darn dainty and still remain in the standard.

Monday weighed a tad over ten pounds when I got her at 10 weeks. Now she's pretty close to 80. Don't worry about it; Cara is healthy and happy. She'll be what she's gonna be. (And do it adorably. I'm seriously in love with your puppy.)
