Default Ella's Lead has white leather on sale!

We have white leather now! YAY!!
We've had quite a few requests for white leather lately, so we caved and bought a super nice hide of it.
It's REALLY nice.

We have decided to run a last minute sale on the white leather, though we cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas, we'll see what we can do.

White leather has been marked down $5 on all custom leather collars, excluding the following:
Tag collars, the "Sir Luke" collar, and leather bracelets.

Double leather white top strips have been marked down $2.

Here is a collar I made yesterday, lined in fuschia suede and made with all solid brass hardware:

It's up in our Ready-to-Walk collars for sale, size holes at 15", 16", 17", and 18".
Ella's Lead - Winter Walk

Imagine how sharp and Christmas-y this leather would be combined with our red leather, with some green and/or red rhinestones.

Oh my god how good would that collar look on my dog?!! That one is GORGEOUS Becca! I had other plans for her Christmas collar, and she already has a pretty awesome white leather... but I might have to think hard on this one!

Becca, you need to post the good news you told me about your white leather

Really sweet beveling on the edges, by the way

oh hahahaha! Thanks!

Oh! OK, brass buckles will ALWAYS tarnish. ALWAYS. I don't care if you are a leather guru or a metal guru, brass will ALWAYS tarnish. There's ways to clean up the brass itself, to remove the tarnish. But brass tarnishes, and it tarnishes FAST. It looks cool as hell when it tarnishes, imo.
But the tarnish will rub off on a leather collar leaving a stain that is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. Believe me, I've tried several different leather cleaners, and was unable to remove it ever. This happens where the brass buckle holds down on the collar when it's connected.

So, even after 2 days, I noticed that Luke's white collar (yes, I made him a tester because if anyone can put white leather through a test, it's going to be my goofy pit bull puppy) was forming a tarnish stain already where the buckle clamps down on the leather. In my sadness, I rubbed my finger over the stain, and! to my complete surprise, the tarnish rubbed right off with my bare finger.
It wasn't a stain at all.

What I think happens with high quality white leather is, I think tanneries are aware that white leather shows dirt real easily and it's hard to clean dirt off of it to a point where it doesn't show anymore. So, I *think* they treat white leather in a special way that helps keep it from retaining dirt.

Because Luke's white leather collar that he has been wearing since...either Tuesday or Wednesday, looks cleaner than any other leather collar I've put on him in the same amount of time.
And he's run through snow, dirt, wrestled and tackled Ophie outside, and she's gnawed on his collar.
No dirt, no teeth marks.

I'm telling you, this leather is awesome. And as soon as my new spots arrive, I am going to be making him a permanent white leather collar that is double layer white, brass diamond bordering stones with light blue and light green rhinestones on the center strip.
And I bet it holds up to dirt better than most my other leathers (and they hold up quite well).
