Default What to feed Cara?

My big girls get TOTW, but I don't want to start Cara on that until she's older. So does anyone have puppy food suggestions?

Fromm makes an excellent puppy food. As does Orijen.

Solid Gold wolf cub was what they recommend in puppy class, Romeo gets solid gold and its a hit with him
plus they sell it at petsmart/petco and stuff now, which is awesome because I am the worst dog food orderer in the world lol

I wouldn't use TOTW on a pup either, the calcium is a little off for a large breed puppy especially.

If money weren't on object, I'd feed Orijen.

I started Quinn on Orijen Puppy and while she went crazy for it and the ingredients list was amazing, it was just too rich & high protein for her. She got quite gassy and her stools were loose.

After that bag I switched her to Acana Grasslands, which is very similar to their puppy formula IIRC. It was a bit lower in protein than Orijen (plus Orijen has increased the meat % now, which I knew definitely wouldn't agree with her!) The difference was amazing! No longer gassy, and perfect poops. Her coat is in beautiful condition. It's what Dally is being fed as well and she's doing great on it, too (although you could feed her anything and she'd be fine, lol).

My mom has a Toy Poodle puppy and had no luck with grain free foods with her. They were too rich and caused diarrhea. So far she's had great results with Blue Buffalo.

Cara's in that in-between, not big and not small size, so I'd lean more toward a good all life stages food than either a puppy or large breed puppy formula.

Fromm and Orijen are out because they're unavailable in our area. I can get solid gold, and wellness

I'd choose Solid Gold, or Blue Buffalo for puppies. We feed Kirkland Signature from Costco but not sure if you can get that there.
