What do i do AFTER inducing vomiting?
the dog ate some amount of lithium. don't know how much. so i used hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting and she did. she has been acting normal through the whole ordeal. my question is: what do i do now? i gave her water after the vomiting but that came back up. how long should i wait before feeding /watering? is it ok to let her sleep? should i walk her today?

When we have had to induce we gave the dog's system a break for a while. We let them rest, let them drink water as they wanted it but didn't feed for at least half a day. That's what has worked for us at least...

I don't skip meals after inducing vomiting. It's sort of your call on that and what makes you comfortable, as well as how your dog does. If you're uncomfortable feeding a full meal at next feeding time, you can either skip or feed half. If you feed and she vomits, skip the next meal and then try again.
You shouldn't have to wait long to give water after inducing vomiting. Some dogs can't handle it right away but after an hour or so it should be just fine. She should be fine to sleep, walk, play, and carry on life like it never happened. If she isn't, I would call the vet.

lou's fine. she didn't show any sign of anything wrong at all. i had her rest next to me so i could monitor her for a few hours then she ate, no problems, then a walk, a bath, nothing out of the ordinary.
is it true that vomiting is traumatic for dogs?
