I'm still waiting for the county who is willing to put owner education as a requirement to getting a license, just like a drivers license.
That's what I propose when I speak at city council meetings. I bring up that we already have a leash law and laws to address cruelty and neglect. Those laws are not enforced so what good would making new laws be other than they "feel good" and get such area 15-minutes-of-media press.
There is no need for BSL. All BSL will do is give a false sense of security to those who do not like what they do not know about or understand (aka "pit bulls") and in the meantime the number of dog bites and dog attacks and dogs roaming loose will continue to increase.
