My 3 hound dogs sleep in the laundry room. In the winter the floor gets pretty cold. It's an older house and the laundry room was an addition (not sure how long ago) and the floors get much colder than the rest of the house. Last year I put down every blanket and dog beds that I have. This year I would like to put something that insulates the floor better than just laying down blankets and such, but I don't want to spend a fortune as it's a rental. If it were my own home I would spend the big bucks on having it properly insulated.
Any suggestions?

Not sure how much they cost, but have you tried raised beds? That way they're off the cold floor and you can still pile on blankets for them to nest in.
We built raised 'cubby hole/beds' for the barn cats using 2x4s and hardware cloth - the 1/8"x1/8" size screen. (You might need something a little sturdier than hardware cloth for the dogs' heavier weight.) In the winter, we stuff old blankets in each compartment and the cats really like snoozing in there.

That's a good idea. I will look into that. Thanks.
