Default Best Books for agility, tracking, Therapy Dog and Canine Good Citizen Certifications?

I'm taking my dog into the woods for about 6 months and want to do some training work with him. I'd like him to get a canine good citizenship award, train him to be a therapy dog and start agility and maybe tracking training.

What are 3 or 4 books that I could order in advance and take with me?

Opinions really appreciated.

The 2 training books I own are The Puppy Whisperer by Paul Owens & Terrence Cranendonk and The Power of Positive Dog Training by Pat Miller. 2 library books I'm currently reading are How Dogs Think by Stanley Coren and Dog Logic: Companion Obedience by Joel M. McMains.

A really good one for agility beginners is "Agility: Right from the Start" by Eva Bertilsson and Emelie Johnson Vegh. It goes really in depth to help you understand the whys of training agility the way they suggest which i really like.

Training books are going to cost you a lot, especially new titles. I paid $52.50 for my copy and it's worth every penny, i cannot put it down and it just was fascinating and i wish i had it before i started agility.

Look into "Control Unleashed" by Leslie McDevitt, or "Shaping Success" by Susan Garrett. Actually most all of the books on Clean Run: Dog Toys, Dog Treats, Dog Agility Supplies, Dog Training Supplies are great books. The older titles you can see if you can find used on ebay or kijiji or something like that.

Thanks for all the suggestions, Mandy, Agility: Right from the Start will go on the list.

Any other recommendations for must have training guides or just great books for understanding dogs better:?

Everything I'm reading about Leslie McDevitt as a trainer is great, I'm psyched about this book. Do you know anything about the videos that go along with the books?
There are actually 2 sets of DVDs, I linked to the first & the 2nd set is here.

Besides Control Unleashed I've added 3 titles to my Amazon list:

Tracking Dog: Theory and Methods by Glen R. Johnson

The Canine Good Citizen: Every Dog Can Be One, Second Edition by Jack & Wendy Volhard

Schutzhund: Theory and Training Methods by Susan Barwig & Stewart Hilliard

Anyone heard of or used any of these titles? They all have quite a few favorable reviews...
