Default Fireworks from the 4th

Went to a fireworks display a couple of towns over - they always have their celebration on the 4th (rather than a week before like the closest town to us). It was a pretty good display and even more shocking, didn't take forever to get out of the park afterwards.

These are some of my attempts at photographing the fireworks. (telephoto lens, mostly set at F16, Bulb setting - used a tripod/remote and varied the amount of time holding the shutter open). You can tell it was a bit windy...

This one kinda looks like it's moving through space...

Look! Palm trees!

Some of the finale...

And Riley entertained us the next morning by doing his trained seal imitation. (Didn't think you'd get away without at least one stripey photo, did ya?)

Okay, done...

Very nice. My Eli girl wanted me to take pictures of the fireworks with my phone, and I couldn't do it. I am going to show her yours.

Thanks! I took a bunch of pics and threw away about 2/3s of them... lots of trial and error!
