Or maybe once she has all her shots you could invite neighborhood dogs over to play. While she's small enough bring her shopping with you.

With you pup being so small taking the pup where ever you go isnt a bad idea. The pet stores that are animal friendly is a great idea. Visit friends, like suggested family etc. It wont be long till you little one is a social butterfly

I would stay away from pet stores until your pup is fully vaccinated. Stay away from places where dogs frequent. If dogs you know, like neighbor dogs are friendly and vaccinated and can play nicely with your pup, go for it, but I wouldn't get a lot of them together, just one or two. But there are other places you can go where it's not that likely that too many dogs have been.

Oh Barb thats a great tip my puppy chocolate lab LOVES meeting friends at the Petsmart... As well in puppy school he has many new friends. What I like to do is make friends with the owners of the dogs my dog gets along and we have puppy play dates!

I do want to say that I don't let Jake walk on the floor. I carry him from the car and hold him in my arms while we visit each place until he is fully vaccinated. Someone also suggested bringing a blanket and putting it in the carriage while you walk them.

I never went that far because I physically couldn't carry Lyric everywhere. He was already heavy when he was a baby. But I stay out of places like Pet Smart until the vaccine series is complete. Then that's a great place to go. Stay clear of heavily dog populated places.
