Angry That's it! I'm done!

The guy I've been seeing for the last 5 or 6 months is an ignorant moron!!!!!!!
His Min Pin has been getting into his kitchen garbage a few times. It's a tall garbage can placed in the kitchen, not in a cabinet or out of reach of the dog. He comes home hours later to find the dog on the couch with some piece of garbage. I don't know what he did the first few times. But then he put chairs in front of the can and still, the dog got into it. I told him to put it up high out of reach or under the cabinet. Keep the dog from getting rewarded by getting food out of the garbage. Duh....

The other night, he told me that he came home that day and found garbage again strewn around and the dog eating something, so.....GET THIS! He put the dog into the tall garbage can OVER NIGHT! Can you imagine how awful that would be to a little dog? I told him, using my calmest, low voice, no swearing, tried to be as diplomatic as I could that that was abusive, that it was cruel and that the dog could not possibly make a connection between that and what it did hours before. I told him I could show him how to keep the dog from getting the garbage, but he didn't want to hear it....never wants any tips about teaching his dogs anything. He knows it all.

He knows it all about everything. I don't know about cars or carpentry. He does. I don't tell him how to do that. I know about growing roses, have had prize winning roses and I have a very nice lawn, dark, dark green, virtually weed free and even. He even tells me that I'm pruning my roses wrong and over watering my lawn. He has no lawn and his one rose bush (the other one died) didn't even bloom.

He is a bore, lacking responsiveness, sense of humor, compassion or empathy. So, what on earth have I been doing the past 6 months with this moron???? He was someone to play pool with and go for dinner with. Who needs it?

Anyhow, after I told him what I thought, he proceed to YELL LOUDLY at me, cussing and telling me not to tell him how to raise his dogs. I said that I'm not telling him how to raise his dogs, just telling him that I thought stuffing your dog in a garage can over night is cruel and useless for teaching her anything but to fear him and feel bewildered. It's cruel! So he yelled, "If you don't like it, get out! Have a nice life!" So I did and I am. I am so relieved to have this tepid, red neck, ignorant, narcissistic moron out of my life. Hmph! Sorry for the rant. I just had to get it out. I hope I haven't ruined my keyboard. I'm striking these keys like a Beetoven concerto (allegro)!

Poor dog. You did the right thing though... People should have intelligence tests before getting a dog.

Well, this Min Pin is not stubborn. She is very willing and very, very sweet, not hyper, a perfectly lovely dog. But she's not all together happy. She's not extremely submissive, but looks a little like, "am I doing the right thing?" It's pathetic.

Im visioning the dog thanking for giving him a chair to get up on.. easier to get at the garbage...

It's all about the training.. I have large dogs... and a garbage can out in the open.. and the dogs never get into it.

Good luck..

Very Lucky Yukon has never showen an interest in the garbage. He likes to hoover up the floor crumbs though and I think it is great. I do not need to vaccum every meal. Food left out is another thing altogether though. Never leave food out or hoover will hoover it.

I think sometimes men fail to think with their heads. I know my idiot only has one thing on his mind, hence Lily born Apr 14/2002 and Megan born May 18/2003 and I was clipped in Dec 2003.

Anyway I just cannot wait to see Marc start training Yukon. He will never stick with it; Yukon will test him once and Marc will say F*** It. That is his solution for everything. The kids when it was time to toilet train he just puts diapers on and never bothered.

Norms the same.Never changed a diaper in Gwens Life and shes 3.She is pottytrained now though. He cant housetrain a dog either.I dont let him train my dogs or he willl screw em all up on me.He would let them get away with murder. Our dogs wont get into the garbage either cause they know I am watching.Even if I am not home Sasha knows that bad stuff is in their, good stuff is in her dish or on the floor lol.

Yeah...this idiot is one of those who rubbed his dogs' noses in their poop like that's suppose to teach them anything, took his belt off and hit his Lab when he found her at a neighbor's after wandering off hours before. I don't think he does stuff to his dogs regularily but it's still enough. He mostly ignores them. He does feed them (Old Roy) and they can come inside and he bought the little one a nice bed. So, he likes his dogs all right, I guess, but thinks this stern, harsh, mean, unrelated punishments are the way to train. Idiot!
