However, I do not think it is over the top to question that a moderator has the option to edit a thread that is 3 years old and then simply makes one disappear just because her breeding ethics and ethics are being questioned. As far as I can tell, the thread about her accidental breeding was not a witch hunt. Members of this forum were concerned BECAUSE it was an established member. What is wrong with simply wanting to know the truth? Someone even mentioned in a very polite way to post some proof of the dogs pedigrees- and even mentioned that, of course, she wasn't ordered to, but it would just be nice to regain some trust.

And now that Jessie questions the ability to delete threads just because they make the OP uneasy, who happens to be a mod? I am sorry, but locking her threads without reason and just telling her to pm MeatyTreats is unacceptable. I doubt he has the time or the patience to deal with this- that's what the mods are for. But to deem every mod as untouchable and unquestionable- that is outrageous.

Now please feel free to lock or delete this- but I believe Jessie and me are not the only ones who are upset and it would be nice to discuss this.

I have to agree with this. There have been other people come on the forum, post things, and the members outright attacked them, and nothing was done by any of the mods. But because a mod posts something that was questioned by members, who do not agree, and made the mod uneasy, that person deletes their thread like it never happened?

I've sent a PM. I feel it's more productive than loading the forum with posts-to-be-locked.

Fine, I won't lock this one right now. Discuss away. But know this.

1. The puppies thread had become a witch hunt. It was degenerating very quickly.
2. In my opinion, the only reason the other two threads were started here in the FH was to cause trouble.

I will unlock the other two threads and merge with this one to keep the discussion in one place. Keep it civil or the thread(s) will be canned.

I have too, but I thinks something needs to be said publicly. I think there has been a big breach of trust because of the way things have been handled.

Personally, I do not believe the thread was a witch hunt. I for one was attempting to be polite. It is hard when there is such a breach of trust and honesty like I feel was there. People were asking questions, yes, but they should not have been hard questions to answer.

Also, recalling past threads (like the dachshund breeder) things have been much much worse. Only the member wasn't a mod or a long term member so they were crucified.

I just think we deserve honesty from our moderators and they should be held to the same standard as every other forum member is.

True.

Eddie, I appreciate you opening this up for discussion. I sent you a PM with some (possibly) constructive crit for all the mods, I hope it may help.

We've had many "witch hunt" threads that don't get deleted. Some get locked, but they don't get deleted.

I absolutely agree.

And, Eddie, thank you for opening the threads up.

Yes thank you Eddie for letting us speak. That has really helped the way I was feeling about all this.
