Default walks after neutering

How soon is it okay to take a puppy for a gentle walk after neutering? My husband thinks he should be able to go out now (operation was on Friday). I think we should wait until he gets his stitches out.

Neutering isn't as invasive and traumatic a surgery as spaying, kind of like the difference between a hysterectomy and a vasectomy (sorry, men). Why not call your vet's office and ask? It's awfully difficult to keep a puppy quiet for five days - make that almost impossible. I second that wish for good luck!

Thanks for the response. I called the Vet Monday night to see and they said he could have short (5 to 10 minute) walks and that I should check the incision
