I only have two rat girlies left, and I'm not adoptig any more for a ling time... I jst hate there short life span
But regardless I still want a CN! aftergettinf a FN for the ferrets all the other cages just seem to... suck...

I deffinitly know what you mean! We've had dogs and birds left on our porch! (this is all when I lived with my parents. We've been keeping it low key since I've moved out for that very reason) Not to mention the cat, but I think he was a stray who wondered over. I just hope mo one does it again any time soon, because I don't need any more animals right now, I'd hate to have to try and take them to the shelter or something (and they're almost always full)

I adooore the FN. No other cage comes even close.

Wouldn't a FN be too big for ratties in terms of bar size, or are they fine? I've never had rats so I'm totally clueless, LOL. I've seent eh CNs and they seem more appropriate, though I'm sure the size of the FN is a dream for ratties.

I had boy rats that fit in the FN just fine but my girls, even Piper who's plump, could squeeze through the bars if they wanted to (which is usually when you are not watching lol).

Boys do good usually, but the girls ive had can squeeze through. I just got anothet FN off craigslist, and im gonna use hardware cloth to make sure the babies cant get through.

CNs are new, and yeah the only difference is bar spacing!

I just wanted to say that at one point in time I was the owner of 21 rats. I see nothing wrong with the ones that you have now, as I have five of my own in a FN.

Don't worry about what other people think. If you can keep up with them and care for them properly, just keep doing it.

I WANT your champagne colored rattie! Makes me think of my Melacatone. She died a few years ago...

I really wanted a CN this year, but we have boys so it would kind of been a dumb purchase. ESPECIALLY since I will never own girl ratties. I love the big man squishes!

I won't have girls again either, once I had more than one accidental pregnancy and I didn't even see how!! How does a girl escape from a Martins ruud, go into the NEXT room, and get into the FN? Ill stick to just boys!
