Well, I got my rabbit. Her name is Matilda. She's a very sweet girl, although she's still settling in and is just a bit jumpy. She has such beautiful gray eyes. If there's anyone more educated about rabbit breeds, I'd love to hear what kind of rabbit you think she is. I believe, she's mostly Mina Rex, but I don't know as much about rabbits as I do dogs.

She's cute, but I doubt she has a lot of mini-rex...their fur is more like velvet and much shorter. Is she full grown already?
She looks like an American with a broken pattern coat. I raised Holland Lops myself and she looks bigger than them.

I don't know much about rabbit breeds.
She is pretty small actually, I can pick her up very easily with one hand. She's still pretty young.I'll have to look at pictures of Americans.

American's can get up to 12 lbs, Mini Rex's can be fairly big as well. Check out the ARBA website

I was looking there just a bit ago.
It's hard for me to tell at the pictures, I'll probably spend most of my night looking at rabbit breeds now. She's soo sweet, she even sat in my lap calmly while my 2 year old niece pet her oh so softly, it was cute. She also got to play in the grass, our 'puppy playpen from last year has now become a rabbit playpen. She zoomed around like crazy. ![]() She also enjoyed a baby carrot and small piece of banana. She seems to prefer the timothy hay to alfafa. And likes nesting in her straw. I've been just watching her all night. ![]() We worked all day today on an outdoor hutch so that when the weather is nice she can get some fresh air without me having to be there directly watching her. She'll be in her inside cage when the weather isn't appropriate and at night.

Not a rex (they have a very distinct coat), but super cute! I love the name

Could she possibly be a satin? I was looking at the link for Americans from the ARBA website and it seems they mainly come in either white or blue?

At first, I was thinking Mini Reex, then I noticed her fur isn't right. How old is Matilda? Alfalfa should only be fed to babies.
This is Shaker, my Mini Rex, when he was about 3-4 months old. And at 3 years. You can see how dense his fur is in this picture. And, yes, it is as soft as it looks. ![]() A great source of Rabbit info is the annual Rabbits USA.

She's young, I'm guessing 3-5 months, but I'm not exactly sure how many months old she is. I was just told she's a few months old.
