Default Poodle

Hey everyone!

Well, in the latest years I have being looking for a small breed dog, I researched for a breed that could fit my lifestyle an poodles are a fit.

There's a member from this forum that lives in mexico that has being helping me with the search.

She has a female from this breeder Perros de Mexico: Sharon Sibson, criadora experta de Poodles y Chihuahueños

When she went to the breeder's home and she said the place is very nice and clean.

She says the dog has a very stable character and is very healthy.

Well I searched for more info about this breeder and found out show results and health testing results in the official mexican dog federation page.

I had many conversation with her and her answers are very direct and solid, and replied to all my questions.

It does appear she has a lot of experience with poodles because of the answers.

Other breeders that I have talked before have being evasive with some of my questions or were nervious, but this one dosen't.

After being in a waiting list for a few months, she told me she has a newborn litter they have a little more than a month.

I asked for a show prospect male, but she told me that even with the parents and grandparents having titles she can't assure me yet if they are going to be show quality until they grow more (they are still too young) but is a good chance the pup is going to be.

That is a good thing, the breeders in here say that only because a dog has papers is show quality even if the parent haven't land a foot in a show.

The father of the pups is the one pictured in the buttom of this page ( called Chilli Pepper) Perros de Mexico: Sharon Sibson, criadora experta de Poodles y Chihuahueños

From the mother side (she was brought to another breeder in mexico) I have met some dogs (like 10) from this breeder in person at shows and they are very stable and calm dogs.

She has asked me a lot of questions also some of them like if I plan to breed the dog with what types of dogs I would choose, my opinion of breeding practices, etc..

I hope everything will come out well.

Anyways on my vacation I have to go to mexico to a medical checkup so I could go an pick the pup.

Thanks!

Both of the parents are toys , so is a great chance the puppy would be one.

But on FCI standard if it pases over 28 CM it would be a mini.

Also both of the parents are red.

When I get pic, I would post them ASAP.

This is so exciting, Sapphire! You've been waiting so long for this pup and did some amazing research before finding him. I can't wait to see him!

And Chilli Pepper is GORGEOUS! Look at those ears!

We've pm'd Saphire so I know how much research you've done and I've been sharing your excitement for a while. It sure is looking good. I know what a thrill this is for you. I can't wait to see pictures when you get your pup.

Thanks! it surely took a long time XD I hope the wait would be worth it.

My classes at the university are supposed to end in april 15 and we have a two week vacation.

I'm so exited .. and a bit nervous, is going to be my first dog from a breeder, and first show dog.

I don't have an idea yet what is going to be the pedigree name, but I'm thinking on nickname him Pompadour like the snob elephant from Babar, he's my fav character from that seriers.

Also if he is going to be a show dog, he is going to wear those crazy hairstyles

Good news everyone!

Pups are now two months old with a few days, breeder says one of the male pups is a show prospect, that has good conformation, and behavior, he has descended testicles, a good bite and is dark red.

Puppy will be ready to go home at 3 months, he is going to have them near the end of this month.

My Mom and I are going to mexico in april 21 and returning may 6, my medical checkup is for april 23.

I'm so exited! I need chaz wishes that everything would turn out good.
